Hello, my name is Krystal Smith and I was hired to assume the position as the Director of Liturgy in 2020. I received my bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Clarke College and received my Masters of Music in Music Education from Kent State University in 2017. Previously, I was the instructor of vocal music at Beckman Catholic High School (2013-2020) and general music/choir instructor at Mazzuchelli Catholic Middle School (2011-2013). My involvement in music is what greatly strengthened my Catholic faith. While I thoroughly enjoyed teaching and inspiring students to find what God has shaped them for, I believe it is what led me to this position.

Serving as the Director of Liturgy for the St. Elizabeth Pastorate allows me to utilize my passions, talents, and faith. I enjoy using music to share the good news of our faith and I look forward to providing a positive and uplifting experience for the pastorate members and guests in any way possible.

My husband, Andy and I have been married since 2011. Together we have four sons: Ian, Logan, Jackson, and Jacob. We moved to Epworth in 2013 and have really grown to love this beautiful community (my husband is a native of Epworth, so he has always loved it here!).
